All animals sold from Solar Flare Farm are disbudded, tattooed, up to date on hoof trimming, and are represented as healthy to the best of the seller’s knowledge at the time of sale. Buyers are welcome to request a prepurchase examination performed by a licensed veterinarian at Solar Flare Farm, at the buyer’s expense, prior to the date of sale. Once an animal leaves our property, all responsibility transfers to the buyer. As we cannot control the care, management, or environment after departure, Solar Flare Farm is not liable for any illness, injury, or death that may occur thereafter.
To give each kid the strongest possible start, all are placed on a coccidia prevention program beginning at 3 weeks of age.

Kids are raised using a hybrid approach, allowing them to benefit from both dam raising and early socialization with humans. Through this method, select kids may be available to leave as early as 2–3 weeks of age on the bottle. Kids that remain with the dam until weaning will be ready to leave between 8–10 weeks of age for doelings and wethers. At this time, we do not offer bucks for sale. A 50% deposit is required to reserve an animal until weaning. Animals must be picked up within two weeks of their weaning date. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the deposit, and the animal will be made available to other buyers.

Pricing varies based on pedigree as well as the accomplishments of the sire and dam. Additional factors include color patterns, reflecting our naturally colorful herd and polled (naturally hornless) genetics.
Doelings are priced at $200 unregistered, or $250–$450 when registered. Wethers range from $75–$150, depending on color.
We offer discounts for 4-H and FFA participants, performance homes, and multiple-animal purchases. Buyers may choose to receive a paper application for registration or have the kid(s) registered online once full payment has been received.
